our quest

The (K)nightly Press is a congregation of (k)nightly writers, children of the dusty corners and the gloaming shadows, acolytes of the ballpoint with inky armor and weapons fashioned from words. Swords in hand and shields flashing, we protect and uplift the voices of those who often are made to feel trapped in a tower or drowning in the briny deep. We are especially inclined to emphasize work from young authors, teenage girls, queer people, gender nonconformists, neurodivergent individuals, and those of mixed race or ethnically marbled backgrounds. At the (K)nightly, we look for stories from and about those who straddle worlds, those who speak prophecy three square meals a day, those who would dare the woods for a divine quest, and those who think too much and want much more.

the leader of the charge

Quinn Garcia (she/her) is a Mexican-American writer and the founder and editor-in-chief of the (K)nightly Press, as well as being a part-time medieval knight and a full-time cowboy. She has been telling stories since her hands became strong enough to pick up a pen, and wishes to one day make a career out of selling her tales to the masses. In the meantime, she wishes to provide a medieval-themed platform for others like her who are struggling to make their voices heard above the noise and clamor of our modern world. Quinn has been published in multiple literary magazines, has written and directed many of her own short films, and has had her plays read in numerous theaters. In her nonexistent free time, Quinn enjoys reading books, Brazilian jiu jitsu, and soliloquizing to passing strangers.
